You are cordially invited to participate in the annual election of KSEA Board of Directors and Auditors.  The following officer positions will be filled in this year's election:

• President-Elect
• Vice President 1
• Vice President 2
• Auditor 
• Technical Group Councilors for Group A (Physics), Group B (Chemistry), Group C (Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Meteorology, Astronomy, Oceanography), Group D (Biology, Botany, Zoology), Group E (Agriculture, Ecology, Food, Nutrition), Group F (Medical & Pharmaceutical Science, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing & Physical Education), Group G (Chemical, Textile, Nuclear & Petroleum Engineering, Applied Chemistry), Group H (Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Naval Architecture), Group J (Civil & Environmental Engineering, Architecture), and Group L (Computer Science & System Engineering)

Voting Method: Electronic Voting via the Internet (e-Voting)
This year’s voting will be done by electronic means only. e-Voting announcement will be sent via e-mail on or after March 18, 2011. No paper ballots will be mailed.

Voting Period: March 18, 2011 - April 22, 2011
KSEA Election Site will accept the e-Voting ballots during the voting period specified above. Any ballot casted after April 22, 11:59 PM (PST) will be considered ineligible.

Voter Eligibility: 
Dues-paying members in good standing on February 16, 2011 become eligible to vote. Please pay your membership duesby February 16, 2011 (30 days before the planned ballot e-mail) to become eligible to cast a ballot in this election.

e-Voting Procedure:
The election information will be sent by e-mail on or after March 18, 2011. An eligible voter will need to log in to the KSEA Election Site with his/her KSEA username and password. The step-by-step instruction is as follows:

• Step 0: Check if you are eligible to vote in the KSEA 2011 Election.
• Step 1: Login KSEA e-Vote site using your KSEA online username and password.  If you forgot your login information, you can retrieve it using your registered e-mail address.
• Step 2: Review candidate information by clicking the button for each position.
• Step 3: Select your candidates by marking the checkbox for each position.
• Step 4: Review your vote by clicking the “Review” Button.
• Step 5: Complete your vote by checking the vote confirmation. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to your e-mail address.

Giveaway Prizes:
Please vote for the KSEA Board of Directors and Auditors.  30 Kindle Wireless Reading Devices (Wi-Fi, Graphite, 6" Display with New E Ink Pearl Technology) or other similar devices each worth about $150 will be given away to the KSEA members by random drawing.  Just by casting a ballot in this year’s election, a voting member will be entered for a chance to win one of the 30 prizes.  Winners will be chosen through a random drawing on April 23, 2011 at the KSEA Headquarters.
