Title: Chromatin Dynamics in Cancer

<Speaker abstract>

Lysine methylation within histones is crucial for transcriptional regulation and thus links chromatin states to biological outcomes. Although recent studies have extended lysine methylation to non-histone proteins, underlying molecular mechanisms such as the upstream signaling cascade that induces lysine methylation and downstream target genes modulated by this modification have not been elucidated. In this presentation, I will discuss our continued efforts to decipher epigenetic regulatory mechanism of new tumor and metastasis suppressor genes and their coregulators. I will introduce newly identified signaling crosstalk regulated by protein modification and address their roles in cancer.

As always, we will be serving lunch and refreshments and in addition we will continue the raffle drawing for a gift card out of the people on the sign-up sheet.
